Turn Any Photo Into A Sketch

This is a really cool effect that I learned just the other day on the NAPP forums (first demonstrated by Justin Seeley at Photoshop World). It is a quick and easy trick to turning any photo into a sketch in photoshop. This effect can literally be done in a matter of minutes. I hope you enjoy it.

Design With Type

Okay. So this is a pretty cool effect that I have started to see pop up in design work and I’ve even come accross a few tutorials on how to achieve this effect (see: Bernskiold Media and National Association of Photoshop Professionals). I said I would take a look at it and see what I could do. I was able to duplicate the effect and showed it to her. She said it was the look she was going for, so I agreed to do a tutorial on it. In this tutorial, I will be using paths, brushes, layer styles, layer masks and blend modes.
